My story

My journey began as young kid growing up Michigan, I spent much of my time reading comic books and trying to emulate the illustrations inside of them. When I graduated from high school I enrolled in a graphic design program but unfortunately I ended up moving in another direction, where I finished college with a degree in natural resource management (yep a complete left turn). After a number of years working as wildlife biologist I moved Minnesota and realized that I missed creating and designing art. With the help of my incredible wife I jumped back into the fray and started cranking out art. That sparked my dreams of becoming professional artist and Cottage 13 was born.
